Princess Madeleine’s wedding dress is one of the most famous of new royal marriages. The wife herself boldly discussed how her wedding gown was created. Valentino Garavani, an Italian architect, approached her about making her dress. Additionally, the lady claimed that the discussions with the artist were “rather funny.”
In an exam, back of a big royal show in 2019, Princess Madeleine spoke about designing her wedding dress. Valentino Garavani, who is a companion of the lady, suggested Valentino make her wedding gown. The lady claimed that it was “natural” for him to be the one to make her outfit. She added that the procedure was “very fascinating.”
Princess Madeleine was given some illustrations by Valentino Garavani so she could choose her chosen design. She soon recognized the princess’s desire for her dress to appear. The two merely ever met up once to change the outfit and adjust the dress. But, these two sessions seemed to famous.
Princess Madeleine told the story in the appointment: “It was rather interesting. He brought his pugs, and they sat on the dress everyday. The irate European tailors were yanking their locks out. So it was a really interesting method, to make the outfit.”
Princess Madeleine’s bridal dress was made in the Valentino workshop in Paris. The gown was all of a sudden very large when Princess Madeleine had her final fitting just days before the ceremony. Because the gown is 1, 40 meters long, and the Roman tailors were sewed up the dress to make it suit, I felt like Cinderella. When the church bells rang, Dad [King Carl Gustaf] was waiting patiently on the level while I was getting quite anxious.
Princess Madeleine acknowledges that the emotions caused her to lose some weight. She arrived a short while later for her own marriage.
The princess spoke about her bridal gown in an interview for the SVT video “Kungliga brudklänningar” about the Swedish Royal Dresses, which was broadcast in late May. The video can still be watched.
