Throughout my professional life, I am pursuing literary analysis. Every time I step foot inside a business, I have a better idea of what works and what doesn’t. Sometimes I find hidden stones, and other days I leave the appropriate place disappointed. You may have known that I gravitated toward trendy parts and stand-out shadows a few years ago, but since then, I’ve learned to appreciate that going back to has never let me down.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not intended to be a tale about the virtues of the simple black dress ( although everyone should definitely own at least one ), but there is still plenty of room to enjoy print, color, and detail, but over the past few seasons I have noticed that that “buzzy” dress trends are replacing them with tasteful staples. Micro miniatures? Impossible. Bandage bodysuit? Keep those to the Noughties. All the women I know are searching for dresses that have attractive cuts and look good while also feeling great, and can take a look from desk to dinner in no time with just a change of shoes. And I‘m pleased to say, I‘ve found an change that does it all.
If I were to suggest one company that ticks the containers of style, substance and ecology, it would be Rixo. Their vintage aesthetic makes them an anti-trendy warrior that you can use for years to come because their vintage-inspired dresses were created with true bodies in thinking. I went to the store myself to try on some of the newest styles the company had to offer ( and it helps that the Kings Road lineup is such a thing of beauty ) after suggesting Rixo clothes to never one, but four people who were looking for summer clothes this month. There is a Rixo dress for every style, from sweeping maxis to flirty minis, and the new collaboration with is a dress lover’s dream ( take that from a maxi devotee ).
If hand-painted graphics and intimate details are your thing, this collection will soon become a staple in your clothing over the summer months. What better way to see the Rixo X Ciao Lucia set IRL than by first-hand experience the group up of two clothing titans, the Who What Wear business was excited when the first images were released. Thus, whether you’re shopping for celebrations, festivals, parties, or just summers in the capital, keep scrolling to see the garments from the collab that made the cut, and to buy more of the Rixo styles I’m loving right now.
1. The Anise Mini Dress
Model Notes: The size is the first thing that catches my attention about the Anise small, starting off powerful ( as I mean to go on ). Mini dresses don’t typically make me go-tos because I can’t bear the thought of teensy, tiny hemlines, but this cute little dress is actually a length long enough to avoid flashing commuters. This is a flattering fit thanks to the cap sleeve, underbust seam, and flared skirt, and it’s light and breezy, so you won’t have to deal with the dreaded cling. Actually, this is appropriate to wear with a straight sandal and container bag, but I wanted to use the complete Rixo styling and include a coin belt and glitzy bag. Overall, this entire seem compels me to the nearest outdoor group, which is not a terrible thing.

2. The Cotton Midi Dress from Neroni
Kind Notes: If small, dark clothes are regarded as a closet staple, we must provide the long, white gown its dues. There is no better fast dress than a light fabric compact, and the Neroni goes a long way to raise the bar. Travel summers, there is no better. The lady tummy! The whole skirt! The hands! Even better, this Ciao Lucia personal is available in the kind of cool white that will go with almost everything you already have in your wardrobe, but I also adore it for its sudden pop of color. This is by far my favorite of the collection, but I would probably go a size lower because the flexible back makes it more roomy than the structure suggests.

3. The Isla Midi Dress
Model Notes: Milkmaid clothes are having a time right now, and the Isla feels like a sufficient nod to the fashion without being unduly “frou-frou.” This dress couldn’t come at a better time as we’re still charmed by all things coquette, but if you aren’t into pretty pastels and big ruffles, this is the grown- up way to do romantic, prairie dressing. This is the best place to start if you’re looking for a laid-back style that you can put on and go for regular use because it’s slightly bigger around the hips and waist for a loving, looser match.

4. The Jillian Silk Mini Dress
Style Notes: After 2022 was the year of pink and 2023 made the most of buttermilk yellow, it’s about time soft blues got their turn in the spotlight. How effective is the blue powder that combines cornflower and periwinkle and makes you unable to help but feel happier just by looking at? This pure silk crepe dress looks just as good with trainers as it does with a pair of Mary Janes because it is so versatile and light as a slip. Now that is a smart investment. Just to point out, though, that I came prepared with seamless underwear as a professional when trying on clothes for review, but this dress is so whisper-soft that you might want to be wary of lace or VPL.

5. The Marlice Silk Midi Dress
Style Notes: Wondering what to wear on summer evenings? I’ve got you covered. This black dress is anything but dull ( the bow and lace edging help to that )! My favorite aspect of this look is how simple it is to style up. The silk crepe de chine has just the right amount of fluidity and the length is a flattering midaxi. You won’t need too many accessories to make this feel evening- ready—a statement shoe, pair of earrings, or in this case, a Rixo bag, are all this needs to feel super special.

6. The Flick Midi Dress
Style Notes: You’ll find Rixo co- founder Orlagh’s hand- painted cherub and floral motifs across a few pieces in the collection, and again here on a black background. A clever departure from the ditsy prints we anticipate seeing in the spring /summer, moving instead to romantic dreamscapes that, despite the retro silhouette, feel modern and fresh. Although I’m 5′ 6, “the dress does appear longer on the website, so I prefer to wear it on a dinner date with a heel and a swipe of red lipstick.”

7. The Bonita Cotton Mini Dress
Notes on the end: Another mini that adds a touch of la dolce vita to a collection that deserves to be showcased in the Mediterranean sun. The Bonita mini is identical to its namesake, with corsetry details and hints of skin that make this a flirty number that I was surprisingly confident in. Don’t worry though, the scoop back is still high enough to wear a bra underneath ( clever, Rixo), and there’s an adjustable waist- tie to get the fit exactly right. Given the tie, it doesn’t need a belt, but I had to go all in and add the same Isolde belt for an extra dose of fun to an already fun dress. More is always more, right?
