Emily May, 32, was upset that the man had urged her to wear a modest exercise outfit that was insufficiently humble and against the rules of the gym.
The family, from, claimed that she was wearing a crop top and high-waist leggings, leaving “a couple of ins” of midriff on the day of the confrontation as “normal exercise clothes.”
Venting on X, previously, she wrote: ‘It’s stupid to not allow anyone to use a crop major workout top because you find 1- 3 inches of midriff offensive. I wasn’t working out in lingerie FFS for f***’s sake.
‘I canceled my account right there.’
‘At the end of our conversation, I said: “cease beating around the bush and say that you want your gym to have more ‘quietly dressed’ people and he was like, “I’m no beating around the tree, that is why the law exists”. ‘
Ms. May then claimed she had no trouble with the school’s specific dress code in almost a year because she claimed to not know it at the time.
It said’ shirts, shorts, sweat suit, exercise stockings, and athletic shoes may become worn’ at all times.
The problem was, presumably, that the 32- year- ancient was never wearing a’ right shirt’, clarifying that there was no safety concern.
The poster was criticized by a number of comments on the viral thread, which received more than two million views, and made claims that the gym’s manager was right to take action against her.
But she responded: ‘I don’t go to the gym to look sexy or get validation (and I have been approached at the gym zero times) but even if that was true, why on earth would anyone care?’
It induced me to feel like I was attending church camp in middle school.
On those lines, one of many supportive comments asked: ‘Are you in the Bible Belt? I can’t even imagine being surrounded by this, but I live on the west coast. I’m sorry you were demeaned this way.’
A socially conservative group of southern American states, including North Carolina, are known as the “Biblical belt.”
Another “taken aback” X user commented that a sports bra and bike shorts have been pretty common at every gym I’ve visited in the past few years.
And someone else asked: ‘Dude what the hell? What gym does this in 2024?’
