Making your first public appearance in six weeks is a good time to call in the big boys in fashion.

For the at yesterday, these included Jenny Packham, a designer whose garments she has enlisted countless days for some of her most significant royal events, as well as one of her favorite tailors, Philip Treacy.

The monochrome appearance, which was finished off with Jimmy Choo heels (£650), a Mulberry clutch (£495), and Cassandra Goad pearl earrings (£5, 620), was not just an elegant homage to traditional British brands but also a masterclass in sustainable fashion.

Kate’s outfit is a modified version of the clothing she wore to a crown breakfast next year. (She owns the same dress in navy and black, too). A speech bow has been added to the neck and the belt has been modified.

Kate has her first taste of waste; she did it last year when she altered an Alexander McQueen outfit she had formerly worn in 2019.

Behind reworking, rewearing was the order of the day.

Kate has owned her Mulberry clutch for more than a decade, and this is her seventh time wearing Jimmy Choo heels. Her earrings are the same types she wore to “baptism in 2018.”

But, despite this, the search seemed anything but ‘seen that before.’

Of course, it’s nice to have a fresh Philip Treacy helmet, but it’s also thanks to the deft addition of the bow and changed belt that made a seemingly formal piece into a stunning piece of jewelry.

An British Guards’ military pendant gave Kate a proper military note acknowledging her position as a Captain of the Regiment.

This style success comes as Kate’s longtime designer Natasha Archer was promoted to the position of Prince and Princess of Wales’ senior private administrative assistant last week. Discuss about nailing your initial assignment.

For the Princess of Wales at Trooping the Colour yesterday, these came in the form of one of her favourite milliners Philip Treacy, as well as Jenny Packham, a designer whose dresses she has called upon dozens of times for some of her most important royal occasions

The Duchess of Edinburgh (right) wore a pale yellow dress by Beulah London (£750) ¿ a brand loved by royals across Europe ¿ with a matching Jane Taylor hat (£1,625)
Even Queen Camilla rewore ¿ while her Philip Treacy hat is new, her mint green silk crepe coat and dress, by couturier Anna Valentine, is the same look she wore to Ascot last year
Her daughter Lady Louise, like Kate, dipped her toe into sustainable fashion practices ¿ she donned the same Suzannah London dress (£1,290) she wore to the coronation last year, and borrowed the bespoke Jane Taylor hat her mother wore to Ascot last year.

Another princes also used the event to showcase the best of European style. The Duchess of Edinburgh wore a matching Jane Taylor hat ($1, 625) and a pale yellow Beulah London dress ($750), which royals all over Europe, in addition.

Similar to Kate, Lady Louise’s daughter dipped her to sustainable fashion trends by wearing the same Suzannah London dress ($1, 290) to the coronation last year and borrowing the customary Jane Taylor hat from Ascot last year.

Also Queen Camilla rewore, as her Philip Treacy hat is brand-new, while her mint natural silk silk coat and costume, by Anna Valentine, have the same appearance as what she wore to Ascot next year. She also donned the later Queen’s Grenadier Guards necklace as a smile to her part as their Commander in Chief.

One thing’s for certain. Even rain can’t stop this ( fashion ) parade.
