To become the in her June 7 wedding to, Olivia Henson’s wedding gown needed all the intimate details befitting a royal ( or rather, royal- opposite ) service. The robes she ultimately chose was the one that the London-based bridal designer, who had all the formalities required, as well as several secret and romantic ties to both families, had to marry before an audience that included.

Let’s begin with the dress. Olivia Henson entered the Chester Cathedral from a classic Bentley in an understated, but remarkable. The bespoke Emma Victoria Payne pattern easily incorporated a skirt with a remarkable train and three-quarter-length sleeves and a bateau neckline at the front.

Along the neckline and hems of her sleeves, Henson’s wedding dress featured touches of delicate floral lace. These subtle inclusions were made with intention and had a strong sense. The wedding veil Henson’s great-grandmother wore on her wedding day, which was first created in the 1880s, was a nod to the blossoms on her dress. ( Talk about fashion history. )

The floral accents were matched back to a stunning, dramatic veil that swept several feet in front of Henson. In the back, her dress also featured a keyhole cut- out.

Olivia Henson also incorporated “something blue” into the wedding dress. A pair of deep indigo pointed-toe blue heels peeked out from beneath her skirt.

Other unique elements on Henson’s wedding day included references to generations of family wedding tradition. Henson wore the Faberge Myrtle Leaf as a top bun for her romantic love. It’s a poignant “something borrowed” for Henson to wear: This piece has been in her now- husband’s family since 1906 and was crafted specifically for Grosvenor brides to wear down the aisle,.

The tiara’s design is made up of laurel leaves that have diamonds sprigs of tiny pearls encircling them. It has been kept in the family vault for over 20 years: The last time the Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara made an appearance, Lady Tamara, the Duke of Westminster’s sister, wore it for her 2004 wedding to Edward van Cutsem at the same chapel.

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster’s love story began in 2021, when they met through mutual friends. The two made their engagement announcement in 2023. Anticipation was high for their eventual union: is the richest man under 35 United Kingdom, with a net- worth of £9.878 billion after inheriting his father’s estate in 2016. He is a close friend of both Princes William and (though the latter, due to ongoing tensions with his immediate family), a long time friend. Meanwhile, Olivia Henson has fetched comparisons to Kate Middleton for her family’s similarly close ties to Britain’s aristocracy.

Henson’s wedding dress is technically not a royal, but it has a similar regal feel to those worn by Princess Kate and other royals over the past 20 years. (The bateau neckline is reminiscent of Markle’s Claire Waight Keller for Givenchy dress, for example.) Her wedding day’s pomp and circumstance can match those of her high society friends. Following their wedding, she and the Duke of Westminster are scheduled to hold a lavish celebration at Eaton Estate in the afternoon and evening.
