The original Progressive employee is scheduled to wed long-term partner David Sharaz at a beautiful service at The Valley Estate in the Currumbin Valley after today.
Before setting off to plan for the meeting with people of her bridal celebration, including her maid of honor Emma Webster, on Saturday morning, she was seen saying farewell to her father, who will soon be staying at their $260-per-night hotel.
The former Democratic employee grinned as she left with a bag with the South Australian brand Paolo Sebastian printed on the front.
Although the couple’s wedding invitation mentions “The Sharazs,” it’s unclear whether Ms. Higgins will officially change her next name.
On Friday, the bridegroom did not respond to inquiries.
‘Join us in making incredible memories,’ the proposal said. ‘Travel for the love, remain for the celebration.’
Since being thrust into the spotlight in 2021, Ms. Higgins and her fiancee have rubbed shoulders with Labor legislators, former prime ministers, and Television characteristics, but it’s not clear if the bride will be a star-studded event.
Lisa Wilkinson didn’t make the guest list, and rumors have been swirling that Grace Tame didn’t receive an invite either.
On Wednesday, Wilkinson appeared undeterred as she walked through Mosman on Sydney’s lower north shore to get a latte and do some searching in a everyday $9, 000 clothing- including $1, 400 Dior shoes.
Since the original staffer’s rape allegations surfaced in an appointment with Wilkinson on the Network Ten software, The Project, in February 2021, the TV host and Ms. Higgins have been close.
After Ms. Higgins testified against her in Bruce Lehrmann’s slander event in December, Wilkinson approached her in the court and extended a huge hug to her.
Around 6 a.m. on Saturday night, Mr. Sharaz took to Instagram to show his second always text message exchange with his future wife back in 2020, unaffected by the gray skies and looming weather circling the Currumbin Valley.
Commenting on a picture of Ms Higgins by the renowned’ budget trees’ in a Parliament House yard in Canberra, where she worked as a Democratic worker, he wrote: ‘Love this photo. But generally the branch.’
Ms Higgins replied with a mouth hand icon: ‘Rude but fully determined hahah.’
He wrote: ‘To be honest. I went to demonstrate a partner what you looked like, and unintentionally I sent it to you. Have a nice evening.’
She said: ‘Hahahahah that’s remarkable.’
In the comment of the article, Mr Sharaz wrote: ‘Inadvertently sent a lady I had a love on… picture of herself.’
‘Some years later and we’re getting married! Romcoms do occur.’
However, more information about the marriage location have emerged.
Established on nine acres of manicured gardens, The Valley Estate is the ’embodiment of pleasure,’ according to its site. ‘A unique, one-off storage created to encourage reflection and celebration with loved ones.’
For a Saturday ceremony in 2024, the location charges a $47, 750 required spend across the venue’s several options.
Under the current pricing list, packages start at $35, 750 for 50 guests and go up to $52, 000 for 100 guests.
This includes the service area, reception room and simple food and beverage items.
According to the brochure, couples are given exclusive access to the entire property for wedding photos, golf buggies to ride round in, a lawn games area, security, and a wedding coordinator.
The vision- watering price does not include use of the hotel, which from Friday to Sunday expenses $1300 a night. Couples can also purchase a seafood grazing table for $60pp and an oyster bar for an additional $28 per person.
A champagne tower is charged at $650 for five tiers and $950 for six, while the top beverage package, which includes a selection of cocktails and spritzes, as well as premium spirits, costs an additional $200 per person.
The least spend does not include any outside spent, meaning the cost of a photographer, priest, flowers or clothing for the pair would need to be paid on top of the minimal $47, 750.
The couple’s turbulent transition comes after they were thrust into the spotlight after Ms. Higgins made allegations of murder in people.
She claimed that when they were both young political employees in 2019, Lehrmann sexually assaulted her in Parliament House.
He had denied it, but in April a Federal Court determine found, on a balance of probabilities, that Ms Higgins was raped.
On Friday, one moment before Ms Higgins ties the tie with Mr Sharaz, Lehrmann filed an appeal to reverse the decision.
The couple purchased a chateau in southern France in December of last year with the $2.4 million payment she received from the Commonwealth as recompense for the way her assault allegations were handled.
They reportedly relocated permanently to Australia to escape their star position.
After the assessment in April, on Instagram saying she felt vindicated: ‘I was raped. This fact would never change if wisdom were to be used.’
‘I lived with the sorrow, shame, and anxiety of what telling my story may mean for my life and career, like so many other victim- survivors.’
