Let me get really obvious. Ms. Jada will clothing for the occasion, and one of her most recent bands has me doing a double take.
I also remember when she showed up to the launch for Emancipation in this extraordinary gown from Stéphane Rolland’s fall/winter 2022 haute couture set.
And my only memory of the legendary 2022 Oscar day is Jada’s green gown from Jean Paul Gaultier and Glenn Martens, which I didn’t focus on because it was absolutely beautiful.
She has just recently appeared in a costume that has me scratching my head at the mesmerizing optical illusion pattern of Bad Boys: Drive Or Death, along with her home, at the Los Angeles premiere of the film.
The large, flooring- size clothing is from Iris van Herpen’s 2017 drop collection. The “Hypnosis” technique, which “incorporates tens of thousands of plotter-cut mini ripples that continuously dissect the dress through each body movement, revealing skin in between the whimsical spheroid patterns,” is known as the “Hypnosis” technique.
The idea is based on a Japanese technique that involves floating in colored waves on liquid that move more quickly than the eye may follow.
Jada paired it with reasonable stud earrings and black sandals feet, which highlighted the dress’s elaborate form.
It’s charming!
On May 22, Jada donned a costume similar to the world debut of Bad Boy: Drive or Death in Dubai, which evoked deja vu. In an Instagram post, Jada noted that the dark-colored- and- light Iris van Herpen gown was “perfect for a Dubai dark carpeting” since it’s “a region that loves architecture”.
Of course, Jada didn’t shut down the Los Angeles blue carpet alone. Her star-studded, fashion-forward family embraced her.
Her daughter, “Meet Me At Our Spot” singer, wore a checkered pattern suit from Acne Studios’ fall 2024 collection.
Her son, rapper and actor Jaden Smith, opted for a black-and-white ensemble, putting oversized jeans and a black puffer vest over a traditional white shirt and tie, and opted for a traditional white shirt and tie.
Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield- Norris, aka “Gammy”, was timeless in a fitted blue denim gown with gold accessories.
Trey, Will’s eldest son, wore a traditional forest green suit with matching, fitted, and new sneakers.
And finally, Will, the star of the premiere, was dressed in classic Mike Lowrey fashion: a monochrome black suit, skull cap, and shades.
Everybody and their mama looked amazing.
