Sydney Sweeney is dishing on her new horror film “Immaculate”.
“Extra’s” Melvin Robert spoke with Sydney, who recently wore Angelina Jolie’s Marc Bouwer 2004 Oscars dress to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party this year.
Sweeney explained how that style incident occurred, “I was a mixture of the designer Marc Bouwer and my artist Molly Dixon… I was actually surprised that I was perhaps fortunate to wear this outfit.” We had it for a thus and were just trying to find the ideal time to wear the dress.
“There’s nothing more ideal than 20 years after at the Vanity Fair Oscar gathering”, Sweeney emphasized.
Sweeney opened up about seeing Jolie in the body, recounting, “I’ve seen her in a room again, and I remember sitting there and like the whole place parted ways and Angelina like walked through … just the most beautiful, beautiful girl I’ve ever seen”.
Sydney wasn’t able to connect with Angelina though. She laughed, “This was years and years ago… I was very scared to say a word to people”.
Sweeney just paid tribute to another Hollywood star, Julia Roberts, with her gown at the GLAAD Media Awards. Referencing Julia’s reach video “My Best Friend’s Wedding”, she said, “I put up an entire panel for Miu Miu and that was one of my biggest inspirations, because I sort of wanted to really cover up the whole ‘Anyone But You’ train with an ode to that”.
Sydney’s current picture “Immaculate” has been a century in the making for her. She continued, “It’s been quite a ride… I auditioned for a variation of this task when I was 16 and they never ended up making it. I was filming “Handmaid’s Tale “a few years later when I was inspired by Elisabeth Moss and the film’s cinematography that I just started coming up with the idea for Immaculate.”
She claimed that the initial text was altered to make her figure more older and more in tune with her.
As for making the job happen, she said, “I still have to pinch myself … I’m so proud… but I’m also really happy of everybody who believed in me, that I could actually make it happen.”
Sydney even dished on having “SNL” and her “Everyone But You” carbon- celebrity Glen Powell’s cameo, revealing that they’d love to work up again!
“I love working with him and we’ve had for a fun trip up”, she said. “We’ve been reading and looking at different stuff.”
“Immaculate” is out March 22.
