A stunning 17th-century European palace overlooking the city of Rome on July 24, 2021, provided the setting for the community marriage of the year.
The third marriage celebration of Lady and Michael Lewis, who quietly welcomed a daughter last year, is today.
Kitty, daughter of the late’ s nephew,, married South African business Michael in the beautiful flowers of Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati.
Her papa was somewhat excluded, as were her relatives and, whose marriages she attended in 2011 and 2018.
Kitty’s bridal attire, which includes five haute couture dresses, was created by the Italian style home as a global ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana.
At the time, Domenico Dolce said: ‘ She told us she had thought of us quickly, and we were very glad with that!’
Kitty made her great entry in a Victorian-inspired pearl lace gown, incorporating a large chest, bustier-style neckline and stretched arms.
Only four fittings later, the outfit was completed at Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda sector, which spent roughly six months creating it at their Milan atelier and embroidery factory.
‘ They’ve been wonderful and personal events,’ Dolce noted.’ One of the influences is undoubtedly her passion for Italy. Kitty is in love with our wonderful country and its rich history, art and culture.’
‘ But she is also a child who is very attached to her roots, to England, to her history of the great Romantic period. And like all the American citizens, she has a great love for all kinds of plants,’ Stefano Gabbana added.
Paying tribute to her royal lineage, Kitty’s dress was suggestive of the Tomasz Starzewski design worn by her mom, Victoria Lockwood, on her wedding morning in 1989.
Victoria’s dress, which was made of French ancient lace, even had a great neck, padded shoulders, and intricate switch detailing down the front.
But, unlike her mother and aunt Princess Diana, Kitty eschewed the Spencer Tiara.
She was escorted down the aisle by her nephew Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and half-brother Samuel Aitken.
But, Kitty’s daughters Amelia and Eliza were present, along with Laura Pettman, the princess of her uncle Lady Jane Fellowes, Viscountess Weymouth and custom Jade Holland Cooper.
The couple’s three grown-up youngsters from his relationship to ex-wife Leola are also believed to have attended.
The event included a beautiful dining, dancing, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Over the beautiful week-end, Kitty showcased a total of five special dresses, each oozing glamour and sophistication.
The night before the main occasion, she captivated guests in a blue velvet gown, featuring a skintight neckline, full trousers and floor-length coast embroidered with flowers.
She adorned a quiff with an exquisite set of jewels and swept her golden locks into it.
Following the nuptials, the bride changed into a beautiful silk ballgown, hand-painted with elaborate blooms, and afterward danced the night away in a beautiful embroidered cocktail dress.
On the third and final day of festivities, Kitty chose refined elegance, wearing an emerald silk dress embellished with sequins, ribbons and floral embroideries.
In 2018, Lady Kitty and Michael first met through mutual friends. He is the CEO of the Foschini Group, which is the owner of the British high street chains Whistles and Phase Eight.
The tycoon is reportedly worth £80 million, along with a £19 million home in his native South Africa, where Lady Kitty was raised after her father and mother divorced.
At the end of June this year, Kitty shared a photo of her daughter on Instagram, and revealed the child’s name is Athena.
