We have lost count of the dresses Radhika Merchant has worn throughout her five months of wedding ceremonies.

From March to July, the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant enjoyed celebrations estimated to cost$ 600 million with Anant Ambani, the son of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, in front of such as, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Nicky Hilton and more.

Before she and Anant Ambani exchanged vows, she was even a stunning bride. Radhika was spotted doing maid jobs for Anant’s girl Isha Ambani’s ceremony in December 2018 wearing an iridescent dress.

Radhika looked stunning as she descended some steps while wearing a delicate flush pink dress with a heavily embellished waist, a fitted cropped dress with silver sparkles, and a coordinating dupatta draped across her shoulder that caught the light.

She stood behind her now-husband Anant, who wore a coordinating baby green and gold outfit, while Akash Ambani’s family Shloka Mehta was positioned on Isha’s left edge.

Marriage dress

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s custom lehenga was a part of the bride’s outfit design, and the outfits did that complement but no outdo it. An elaborate dress and a romantic dupatta that paid tribute to her family Nita Ambani made up the hand-embroidered outfit.

It was made of Nita’s dark bandhini marriage gown. ” Red or purple, the classic bridal colors featured in the zardozi edges, lending an auspiciousness to the ensemble”, the manufacturers told

” The relationship between a mother and daughter, the riches of that love, an intrinsic part of the marital lehenga”.

With over 30 different cultures within the West Asian region, each American wedding may look unique. Here are a few well-known traditions that are usually incorporated into Indian ceremony, though…

  1. An astrology-approved day- The Hindu preacher, known as a pandit, may read astrology to determine the most suitable date and time for the ceremony to take place.
  2. After two weeks of more intimate gatherings typically only attended by close friends and family, the wedding and reception take place over a number of times.
  3. Red– The color is regarded as happy and frequently appears in wedding decor, outfits, flowers, etc. The list goes on.
  4. A large host list- A come great or get household approach is taken to the guest list, and offending someone by not inviting them to the wedding is a large no.
  5. Outfit changes: The groom must always be in a different outfit for each stage of the day.
  6. accomplished dance moves; no dad dancing in this. Frequently, guests will dance to the newlyweds in Bollywood-style before the couple themselves perform a performance.
  7. A large party– Everyone who attends a wedding is typically invited to the reception, so the evening is a big one.
  8. There is never a” You may now kiss the bride” element to the nuptials. Many people find PDA in front of elders inappropriate.
  9. The groom’s grand entrance and the bride’s reveal– The groom gets his own procession, otherwise known as, while the bride prepares for her grand reveal, or the kanya aagaman, after her bridesmaids, flower girl, and ring bearer.
  10. The bride and groom take these steps in the saptapadi, which represent the first seven steps you take as husband and wife.

Isha said her big day, which reportedly cost$ 100 million, was “very special” and that, like any other bride,” I had my share of bridal jitters. But getting married at home made it very special and I had the time of my life celebrating my most memorable moments with all the people I love,” according to Isha.

Anant and Radhika’s wedding

Anant and Radhika’s wedding was even more grand than his sister’s, costing an estimated$ 600 million. For the celebrations, Radhika donned a number of striking outfits, including a red and gold gown by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Rhea Kapoor, the stylist, described it as his “intricate interpretation of” Panetar,” the Gujarati custom of brides wearing red and white, with a ghagra with a 2-meter detachable train, a 5-meter head veil, and an embroidered red shoulder dupatta.

Her accessories were sentimental family heirlooms. Radhika told:” I turned to family heirlooms for my ‘ something old’. I wore the same necklace as my sister and aunts did at their weddings, and I sincerely believe it gave me a special strength and blessing as I walked down the aisle. My dad actually gave my mother a surprise gift on a holiday to celebrate their anniversary.
