As they entered the second day of Ascot races on Saturday, Alex Jones and the other competitors led the way in terms of beauty.

The 47-year-old One Show star arrived at the glittering race day in a delicate mint and white gingham dress, which cost £790.

Her cloth, inspired by the 1940s, cinched in Alex’s slender waist with a cracked belt and featured a beautiful arrow- effect draped neckline detail, which was backed with a plan cotton contrast.

A matching veil fascinator with feathery ruffles was a perfect pairing with her beautiful ensemble.

She slipped into some respectable white court foot pumps, which she paired with a corresponding clutch, to give her willowy body some extra inches.

The golden beauty paired a lavish floral-themed fascinator with her beautiful one-piece.

She donned some rose metal feathered rings for the glamorous ceremony and slipped into a pair of shiny open-toed feet.

She appeared upbeat as Mark Heyes, a co-host of the night, joined her.

Alex made a beautiful race debut just hours after admitting to having “terrible mum guilt” because of how her job interferes with her home life.

The TV celebrity and her father, Charlie Thomson promote Teddy, six, is elder, System, four, and Annie, three.

She said: ‘I suffer from bad grandmother grief at times, but that’s the essence of my work. Charlie and I spend the utmost time with the kids, doing things they did remember, because I feel incredibly guilty about not putting them to bed every night.’

Everyone has times when they are exhausted and prefer to make a gigantic hole in the sand or solve a riddle. I try to teach the value of items to the kids while Charlie and I work really hard.

I tell them that I’d love to read a book to them every day because my work is that day and we have to function so that we can enjoy the company of our meals at weekends.

‘They’re too little to completely get it and it breaks my heart, but there’s no means around it.’

Alex described how she has learned to avoid feeling guilty over the weekend and rather tries to do as much with her family as she can.

She said, “You can spend a lot of time thinking about it and feeling bad, or you can think,” Right, I’m going to do my work to the best of my ability and then I’m going to spend the entire weekend with the family. “All I can do is my best.”

Alex has revealed her personal little key, which she suggests to others who want to leave for 20 minutes, to balance the demands of parenting and her hectic work life.

She said: ‘I’ve even been known to travel to Sainsbury’s car garden, wind up the car seat, lay down and close my gaze for a while.’

‘People are probably looking at me, thinking ‘What is she doing?’ but I like knowing that no one will ask me for anything and that I can spend 20 minutes lying in comparative silence before wrapping up my shopping. I don’t recommend it very sufficiently.’

Alex revealed that she is content with The One Show despite the fact that she also has other goals and documentaries to pursue.

‘People often ask me what I want to do future,’ she added.

‘I feel like saying,’ What do you suggest? I’m carrying out my lifelong goals. Why do I want to work another work? Of course, I’ve also got interests to do other stuff, and I love making movies, but they will always be comparable to The One Show.

I’ll remain there for as long as they want, and it’s going to be my primary task as well.

As she posed for a variety of fashionable summer clothes on the handle of, Alex was the embodiment of elegant.

She flashed a smile during the cover shoot while accessorizing her incredible outfit with some thick gold hoops.
