The spectacular moment when the bride’s dress and veil caught fire was witnessed by an artist hired to paint a marriage.
Ceremonies can be costly activities. According to the wedding site The Knot, in 2023, the regular price of a wedding in the U. S. was $35, 000. It’s understandable that the bride and groom want their great day to be as remarkable as possible given that kind of expenditure.
One like Shauna Bailey enters that situation. Bailey is an actor living and working out of Newport Beach, California, as a life marriage painting. “I specialize in a reasonably new form of marriage entertainment called’ lived marriage painting,'” Bailey told Newsweek.
The overall goal is to entertain the customers while capturing the emotion of a wedding day in a way that is a little more ethereal than photography or videography. I’d examine it to seeing a piano perform live.
She uses oil color and spends about six to eight hours lived artwork on the day of the wedding, adding 35 to 40 hours of studio work over the course of the next few weeks.
It’s a task that calls for her to be at the center of everything. “I’m always trying to capture various moments of each wedding on movie to use as a guide for the artwork and for social media content, often to help describe the experience of the bride and what’ feelings’ I’m trying to capture on canvas,” she explained.
That’s how she managed to capture images of a surprising second at the new bride of Luis and Lupe Quijano.
“Each wedding is different, but one of my favorite times is watching the guests clap as the new Mr. & Mrs. walk down the aisle,” Bailey said. “As I was filming this particular ceremony, I began to feel tensions fall as the bride and groom made their way down the aisle. From where I was standing, I wasn’t fully able to see that the bride’s train.”
Lupe Quijano’s clothing appears to be ignoble as the happy couple continue to walk down the aisle, according to Bailey’s video. The bride, groom, and guests all seemed to be doing just fine as it was happening, according to Bailey, who described the moment as “almost like it happened in slow activity.” “It’s a strange thing to, but also smiling.”
Bailey stepped in with ocean as it became apparent that the fire was growing, but by that point another merchant had discovered a fire hose. According to Lupe Quijano, it was a bizarre realization that she was on fire. She said, “I looked up and saw my friend running toward me, and then I realized my dress was on fire and my mask was on fire.”
Despite the gravity of the condition, she was able to remain calm throughout. That’s everything she puts down to being a busy family. “I have a very peaceful tone. Little actually causes me to feel stressed. I have three kids—a two- year- aged, a three- year- old and a quickly- to- be five- year- old—after having kids back- to- again- to- up nothing truly stressed you out.”
Lupe Quijano, however, had another cause for feeling relaxed. She claimed that a fire was likewise present among their associates at the wedding, and that at least seven of the guests were members of the military. “When I saw my sibling- in- law]who is in the defense ] run over from the period I thought’ Oh he’s got this,'” she said. “I believe I was just very accepting of everyone around me.”
She claimed that paper streamers that had been sprayed with glitter as they walked down the aisle and landed on several lights along the staircase.
“The humorous part is that I had only given my vows, which included. Moments later that’s when the primary started,” she said. The couple’s vows state that they will love you until my fire is extinguished, and they are a huge supporters of the real line Survivor.
The wedding was appreciative of the actions of those present, despite the bride’s dress and veil causing some harm. “I remember I could discover my mommy- in- law walking behind me saying ‘I took off the veil, you’re great. You’re okay, nothing is going on. Keep walking,'” Lupe recalled.
Everyone “just jumped in right away to immediately put out the fire in their own way.” I can’t stress how blessed we were. “Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt as the paper confetti started flashing brightly and quickly, and the wedding celebrations started soon afterwards.”
Although almost every wedding has some sort of drama, Bailey said, “I would say this is undoubtedly up there as the most unusual thing I’ve seen happen at a wedding.” She won’t include the fire in her final piece either.
A fairy tale is about the happy ever after, regardless of the fiery dragons that are killed along the way, so I’ll stick to that perspective as I add the final details to their artwork.
