The Fiancé’s home is not attending the wedding unless the wife returns hers because her wedding dress is identical to her mother-in-law’s party dress.

I’m starting to think that having a wedding might be one of the worst things you can do for your marriage now that I’ve read posts on Reddit frequently.

Seriously.

But discovered that her MIL had purchased the exact dress for her birthday party in a different colour.

Because our relationship is complicated, I did n’t invite MIL to go shopping for wedding dresses, but I did think I’d show her a picture to make her feel welcome.

Although technically not a wedding gown, my clothing is a gorgeous, wavy picturesque dress, which can be ordered in any color. We both adore our small, neighborhood shops, which I purchased it from.

MIL informed me that I am unable to wear the dress because she purchased the same one for her 50th birthday, which falls two days after my marriage.

MIL does have the gown, but it is mint green ( there is enough detail to show that it is still obviously the same dress ), and she has the certificate to prove that she received it first.

She has put a lot of effort and effort into this birthday party because it is a tradition in our group.

Her Dollars wants her to gain it, but OP said no thanks.

Because I didn’t do this out of malice and I love it, I said that I will still be wearing the dress, even though I could easily return it without losing it.

Mil claimed that if she wears it two days after I do, people will assume she is pitiful and a copy of her son’s family. I said sad but not really my trouble.

Now her fiance’s entire family has basically cut him off and aren’t coming to the wedding.

Since I said that, all has gone mad. His whole family and the associates MIL invited have all withdrawn from the marriage, leaving like 15 individuals and it will be obvious.

His sisters, who were supposed to be present at the bridal party, dropped away, and blocked him on anything.

His dad says he regrets raising him, that he is not a true man, and that a real man would fight for his mother.

Even though his bio dad is on the MILs side, which does n’t surprise me because they are close friends, he called us up the other night to shame us.

It’s gotten to the point where issues may be irreversible.

My fiancee is suffering after learning that his family had a lavish beach party and invited anyone but him. He called MIL and they talked but didn’t come to a resolution. She claimed that no one can attend the wedding if I refuse to do the correct item.

He attempted to contact SIL, but she blocked him. He is presently angry with me and thinks she experienced a first.

Edit for some clarification: dollars has not really behaved this way before. She is extremely laid back, doesn’t show emotion, not really attention seeking which is why my fiancé is so confused

I fear having his sisters and dad with him at the bridal because at this point, I believe the relationship is currently beyond repair.

Does Reddit believe she may return the outfit? This get out!

Somebody needs to grow up, according to the best reply.

Not all agrees, nevertheless.

After all, who cuts their home of over a costume?

Truthful statements are commonplace.

I’m not sure what’s appropriate around.

I’d probably gain the costume only to make a date with my fiance.
