How to Go on a Beach Date

Although the products featured in the “Designed By” collection were freely chosen, Gap provided some items. The rest is decided by the slice readers.

It’s the last day of the summer, which could mean one final beautiful date night before the cold-cuffing season. Why not try a less predictable outfit while a silky outfit is usually a simple choice for a beach day or a romantic beachfront trek? You never know what actions you might engage in during a day at the shore. So you want to be comfortable and ready for anything (mainly wind, sand, and water elements) while still looking chic.

The main component of this outfit is a swimsuit, which is styled with a pair of big trousers in a way that is both raised and attractive but even simple to slip on and off. The complex Isa Boulder one-piece, featuring a gorgeous bustier-style bottom, is beautiful in itself. Any body type can be accommodated by the side-braided detailing, and the suit’s modern musical nude colour is matched by the straight-leg Gap trousers’ open button design. This outfit doesn’t scream “obvious beach ensemble,” which is the coolest part of it. We love to retain’ em guessing.

Polish It Off

These Hereu sandals are simple to put on and off. They’re a step above and more intentional than your average flip-flop or even a sneaker. These sandals also improve with wear, just like the Gap jeans, so you won’t have to worry about getting wet or sand on the beach.

When it comes to accessories, we chose pieces that add to the elegance of the look but don’t take away from the main concept: ease. That was crucial for jewelry, as well as for selecting items that weren’t overpowering or garish. We love this simple-chic Mansur Gavriel canvas tote with clean lines made of Italian vegetable-tanned leather. When you want something more substantial than just a crossbody or mini-bag, it’s a great addition to a summery going-out look as well.

If you blink, you might miss this sculptural Anika Inse necklace. A cool, reflective piece that plays with the water’s feel, the glass collar. Similar to the necklace, these Marco Panconesi bracelets have the same fluid movements in their warped, wavy shapes that mimic the swimsuit’s curved lines. The bracelets appear to be a number of stacked pieces, but they actually are two striking bangles that complete the look.
