Copenhagen Fashion Week has once more inspired us to wear the same clothes as Scandinavian women, as if we hadn’t already. The Red team has long been admirers of how quickly our Scandi sisters pull off the perfect outfit, sprucing up every outfit to look cool and expensive. Think flirtatious skirts with pointed-toed t-shirts and flat-soled t-shirts, sloppy black jumpers over thin pants with kitten heels, and tonal monochrome outfits to keep things polished and sharp. Excellent cuts and fabric feel deluxe and present, with contrasting patterns creating dressed-down appears with polish.

One thing’s for sure: Scandi type is admired the world over, therefore the flood of fashion fans for their SS25 function. But, as always, the best tips on how to outfit Scandi comes from those who know it best: cool Norwegian women themselves. Thus, we asked a handful of our favorites to share their key design principles, capsule wardrobe staples and go-to, from Ganni to Cos. Get out what they had to say below…

Utility calls for blending…

‘The five ladies all noted that useful dressing is required because of Scandinavia’s frigid winter temperatures, which necessitates smart hacks to stay comfortable. We’re the master of stacking because we never know how some months we’ll find in a day,’ says Marte. ‘Wearing narrow wool layers under our normal clothing is not acceptable, and lightweight puffer gilets like those found to hide under luxurious wool coats. Needless to say, a stylish sheep hat is required because it contains the best. Norwegian-Italian clothing is a favorite among the Scandi style set for tough, grip-friendly winter shoes.’

Josefine does point out that Scandi girls don’t let the practical approach derail their sense of style. We constantly try to be elegant, yet on white coffee runs in -20 degrees, which explains why]Danish company ] has collaborated with the likes of Barbour and 66°North!’

… but don’t forget to have fun

‘Us Scandis perhaps be aware of the climate, but we’re even keen on adding some individuality and colour to light up darker days,’ says Marte. ‘The Danes are excellent at this – seem to Ganni or for motivation.’ She explains the value of taking into account every detail to give your appearance character and curiosity. I love second-hand purchasing to find something embroidered or surprising, like a enjoyment printed blouse. The same goes for accessories– put a bold shawl, a great handbag (I love) or some wonderful jewellery (or) and any clothing will be lifted.’

Play with contrasting materials, to. ‘Also with a more simple outfit, Scandi women are adept at blending textures,’ says Marte. ‘Consider a silk scarf with a wool jacket, or a yarn suit pant with a denim jacket. Simple doesn’t have to be boring.’

Josefine, also, enjoys how Scandi design has got progressively lively (we’re obsessed with her). ‘She claims that Scandi fashion has changed from being categorized as minimalism ( think and ) to being full of ruffles and flowers ( Ganni and ). We adore a good yarn level to keep warm in the winter, but we also look for color, texture, and volume to maintain our energy up. Because what’s better than feeling nice in your clothing?’

Get your Scandi aroma

‘Cathrine, who was born in Norway and now resides in Copenhagen, has noticed how Scandinavian style varies in various cities. In Copenhagen, individuals usually have a cooler, more laid-back design,’ she says. ‘In Stockholm, you’ll get a more refined and put-together feeling. Oslo style is also polished, but as the people have said, we are quite useful in the way we dress. In contrast to our neighboring cities, Copenhagen girls have recently incorporated Gore-Tex and specialized garments into their road style looks, but I believe we spend the most of it.’

Curate a considered capsules clothing

‘In terms of a Scandi dress method, Marte believes it’s all about carefully combining top-notch, classic pieces with a green approach to create a spacecraft wardrobe. Some truly fine sneakers are a must, since are set shoes like loafers or boots,’ she says. ‘Jeans and other denim staples can be dressed up or down, just like cashmere knitwear and good T-shirts and shirts, which are both essential because Acne Studios is a steadfast favorite of mine. Norwegian brand is my go-to for perfect basics. The best ones to have are chic wool suits and blazers, which are necessary for a Scandi wardrobe, whether they be worn with sneakers for a more relaxed look or with heels for the evening.’

Cathrine echoes Marte’s tips, singing the praises of’ a good pair of blue jeans’ (she loves) and a trusty tee (from or Julie Josephine), paired with white Converse trainers or brown loafers. ‘For fall, I’m eyeing up an amazing thick-knit sweater from Norwegian brand and looking to buy a new jacket from, which recently opened a new store in Copenhagen,’ she says. They make some excellent wool jackets, which are of outstanding quality. For added protection from the cold breeze, they also have some nice, thinner pieces that you can layer underneath a blazer or sweater. I also have to say how impressed I am by the pieces I purchased last season and they still look brand-new.

Sarah, too, is focused on comfort and ensuring that getting dressed each morning doesn’t require much planning or effort.’ To make sure each piece of clothing is matched with the others, she says, “I choose neutral colors like black, white, grey, and beige.” Her go-to outfit is a pair of wide-leg jeans teamed with a white T-shirt or an oversized white shirt, a soft, cosy cardigan or sweater, loafers and a belt.’ I can then dress that up with heels in the evening or solid gold or silver pieces that aren’t tarnish-resistant.

Elevate the basics with beautiful jewellery

‘I like to keep my hair and makeup natural and my wardrobe simple, then let my accessories do the talking,’ says Camilla. ‘For instance, I enjoy rocking out with a pair of denim jeans and a basic white shirt, then enhancing my look with some classy, understated jewelry, a solid silver statement ring, and a few bangles on my wrist. Alternatively, my current go-to is an 18-karat gold pinkie ring paved with diamonds. The Scandi girl values quality without being overly sexy.’

Marte loves buying jewellery to keep as heirlooms. ‘Scandis love tradition, so any items that can be passed down through the generations are our favourites,’ she says. ‘The ideal gift for yourself would be some jewelry from them or the amazing girls at.’
