“Some folks say I look like a tiered cake, which I love.”

It’s an age-old problem: what do I include in my closet that I can use? However, if you have several skirts in desperate need of wear, a style author, content creator, and FJ contributor is aware of their use.

At several native style weeks and events, Maggie’s worn what she calls a ‘skirt gown,’ a multi-layered dress made completely from of varying lengths. Taking the phrase ‘blending up’ to a new stage, her green approach to fashion acquires a more-is-more touch around.

The key to creating a cohesive skirt is to layer garments of various sizes and materials. I emailed Maggie for styling advice, brand recommendations, and the enthusiasm for the recognizable clothing, as well as styling advice.

What led you to choose a dress with many skirts?

For the first time earlier this year, I wore a dress with many skirts. I opened up my overflowing closet after a longer year of planning clothing, and I noticed some of my favorite skirts.

I don’t really know what came over me but I grabbed one of them and I was like, ‘Hey, I wonder if it will sit up here on my upper bust?’, and lo and behold, it did. Since many of my clothes are also varying lengths, I kept putting them on my system and watching what did occur. That’s absolutely how it came on.

Do you have any styling advice for many skirts for others?

There are a few important factors to consider. One more thing: I’m aware that for people with larger bosoms, it might not work as well because it can be quite limited based on your measurements when worn as a major, like a bandeau.

I suggest trying various lengths and weights of skirts to see how perfectly they fit on you. Although many of my clothes have different sizes, I’m not sure if this is because of other people’s wardrobes, but many of them do, which can be very helpful when trying to get something a little bit more large or to kind of stay at different heights for your waist and hips.

What kind of clothes are the best for stacking?

The” bottom” and what goes on top of my neck are mini skirts, which is what I love. And pleated small clothes actually work, in my opinion. As one of the last bottom levels, I do like a thrown in there. Because they can get lost in the layers, lightweight clothes in silver does not work when well, but I do advise checking your closet and seeing how it turns.

Stirring colors and patterns was another factor that weighed heavily. I think it looks more productive when you have different textures, colors and designs. You need to find that balance between what you like visually and what you don’t. But for me, it was playing with the physical balance of the entire by alternating some lighter materials with darker ones.

What’s the reply been to your scarf layering dress?

I’m so shocked that I haven’t hated anything because it sounds so wild and I assume this is a result of my long use of social media. I find it pleasant to hear that individuals have been making up for it. They have mentioned how it’s really empirical and how cool it’s to see people re-do their clothes in certain ways. I’ve even had a few people mark me in movies where they’re wearing it for themselves. That’s quite a gift.

Honestly, people have been so good. I’ve been accused of sexing myself like a stacked bread, which I adore. Another amazing gift was that it’s giving Vivienne Westwood, which is the highest of large remarks, although no one I’m certain I can get.

Do you have any recommendations for people who want to experiment with the same fashion?

I may say the is ideal. Although it’s not a label, I’d say that about 80% of the clothes I wore were made available at op-shops. Great because it enables you to experiment with various materials and designs. It’s a closet staple of me and has worn it repeatedly in my skirt-dress ensembles, so I’ll give it a cry out for it.
