Kim Kardashian was one of the attendees at Friday’s Mumbai event with his fiance Radhika Merchant.
After five times of holidays reportedly costing $600 million, the 43-year-old was accompanied by her girl Khloe Kardashian, 40, to see the child’s traditional Hindu wedding ceremony.
The Kardashian daughters donned classic Indian dress for the big day, but Kim did it inappropriately. The mother-of-four wore a sparkling ruby red dress that boasted elaborate embroidery and fringe detailing, pairing it with a cropped bottom, and a dupatta – a lengthy shawl-like shawl.
Kim adorned her with two diamond necklaces, a maang curry between the middle of her locks, dropping to her face, and two diamond maang tikkas.
Kim’s choice to use red may be viewed by some as breaking Indian custom because the hue is usually reserved for the wife on the wedding day.
“In American culture, the person is the one who is leaving her house and going to the man’s home to be with his home”, Niki Shamdasani, custom and co-founder of Sani, told.
It’s ideal for her to be the one who commands the most notice and wears a bold color like dark, which represents new life, because it’s a much bigger shift for the lady than the man.
Khloe, however, opted for a color of gold and white for her glittering dress, which she teamed with a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder leading and golden accessories, including a corresponding maang tikka.
Kim and Khloe shared a number of Instagram photos and also revealed that their viewers will be able to view their wedding photos featured on an episode of The Kardashians.
In the days leading up to Friday’s service, the few took part in some classic pre-wedding festivals.
Last Friday saw Justin Bieber perform at the pair’s “sangeet”, a night of music and dance.
Anant and Radhika then attended a private “haldi” ceremony, which traditionally sees friends and family bless the bride and groom by applying a turmeric paste to their heads, faces, or bodies.
The couple tied the knot in March with a three-day pre-wedding party that included a performance by Rihanna, and it cost the family $6.3 million.
March’s round of celebrations was held in the family’s hometown of Jamnagar in Gujarat, where the Ambani oil refinery is situated.
The party, which hosted 1, 200 guests including Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, began with a dinner in a bespoke glasshouse before a Moulin Rouge-themed do at their palatial home.
The family then celebrated their wedding abroad in June by taking a luxury cruise along the Tyrrhenian Sea’s azure coastline and the French Mediterranean.
The wedding party, which included a slew of Bollywood stars, stopped off at Rome, Portofino, Genoa, and Cannes, enjoying performances from The Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli along the way.
