There has been at least one instance in the lives of young women who wanted to try their. Old clothes have their beauty, whether it’s their prom dresses or wedding gowns. However, these garments have some romantic significance attached to them. A Reddit user shared her experience with being trapped between her daughter’s desire to change and use her prom dress. The mother-of-five, 45, revealed that she has three sons and that Lauren, 17, has been her style since the early 1990s.

“My daughters are Kate ( 20 ), Lauren ( 17 ) and Maddie ( 10 ). I’ve got this gorgeous prom gown. It’s dark and truthfully, the best thing to come out of the first 90s. It’s the most sentimental piece of clothing I have because I’ve never married (my parents aren’t married), so I can’t help but think about how beautiful it is. I also take pride in having it in perfect condition and because it was a gift from my,” the post began. The mother claimed that Lauren has been wanting to wear it for her game day as well as her eldest daughter Kate, and that she also wore it for her graduation. However, there is a minor problem as the costume is not a great fit for Lauren.

The mother was reluctant to change that ancient prom dress because she knew there was no way for Lauren to fit into it without making any modifications. “The clothing fits a 2020 US length 4. Lauren is a 14-year-old American. At second, I tried to gently take her away from the idea, saying, ‘Are you sure,’ or ‘You’ve not really worn red when, you’re more of a pink gal,’ but she was dead set on it. Therefore I was like, ‘Sweetie, that clothing is too tiny for you,'” the family tried to explain it to her. But, Lauren was it and suggested that the gown “retailored” to meet her.

Because that dress is one of my most valuable possessions and I don’t want it to break, I resisted. I declined, but I did offer to rent a craftsperson to create a duplicate in her size. After all, I was willing to spend more money as we didn’t have to spend money on her sister’s prom dress. She objected, saying she wanted the romantic significance of her mother’s and sister’s clothing. She claimed that I was being fatphobic and that I preferred my, the article continued, and I refused. The mother discovered Lauren had removed her graduation outfit just as she was about to put it on before she stopped her.

“I safely transported the dress to my aunts because I was aware that Lauren may try to put it on once more. I even got her therapist (she has ADHD) to talk to her about it, but to no avail”, the post added. “I suddenly snapped when Maddie began crying to me, saying that Lauren had promised to give the world to her because she was thin.” She finally told her young daughter that she had to lose weight in order to meet in that dress, and she would never let that dress ruin it.

The mother, who has been feeling guilty after the spit with her child, turned to the Facebook group, asking for their suggestions on this problem. pointed out, “I really don’t think this is about the dress. I believe it’s more about your kid wanting to show herself she may also do the same issues and knowing she looks different from the rest of you. Try to avoid alienating her. You’ve been form. You’ve been courteous. You’ve offered solutions. This is your clothing. Give her a unique bracelets to use. She doesn’t want to borrow your dress. She desires ownership of it. Because once it’s tailored, that’s it. It isn’t it”.

I am a person and I have ADHD. It sounds like you’re fighting a common. It’s not the clothing she wants. Wearing the outfit will provide her the excitement. You are taking away the excitement and so, she is unhappy. The reality is that if she wants to wear the clothing, she needs to work long-term on something, which is a challenging situation for an ADHD mind. Working with her doctor and perhaps a veterinarian who has worked with people who have ADHD may be a good idea to treat this like a panic.
