This utility dress properly fits my mom lifestyle — it’s really, comfortable and simple to style

As of two kids who is still breastfeeding, my schedule for new clothing items has become very practical: cheap, flexible enough to play with the kids, and readily available for care. Easy, but it doesn’t specifically lend itself to pulled- along professional models. With these restrictions and my setup, most of my and more “office” items have been put aside and don’t usually catch my eye when shopping.

That is until I had the chance to purchase this Free Assembly Utility Dress from. The cost was correct, and the design was common. It appeared to be a costume that could meet my life, which is unusual at this time! — so I had to give it a try.

I’ve come to find that most dresses come in one of two silhouettes: pillowcase ( oversized ) or cling wrap (you get the gist ). There’s nothing bad with either, but that’s why I was delighted to discover this traditional design, which flares out from an A-line trousers and settles in at the waist, giving me a more healthy balance.

I adore the versatility of dressing this clothing up or down and making minor adjustments to make it your own. For example, the arms are a bit of a helmet jacket, but I rolled them up to show more of my head. I removed the belt that was included for another celebration only to change up the look. It was a leather buckle. I even used heels for a baby shower, versus my go-to for a walk around the block, which I prefer.

There are only four colours, but there’s something for everyone—two substances and two styles. Because they’re all but good, I had a hard time deciding which color to purchase. Sizes in certain colors are limited, but I’m so happy with the “Jelly Bean Combo” that I chose. (Plus, in my present mom- of- tiny- ones time, I love a style because it hides stains so well!)

This gown is surprisingly accurate to size, in my opinion. I’m 5’4″ and about 120 pounds, and I opted for a S. That said, the sizes can be versatile because the fit is really tolerant with the A- line skirt and flexible waist. I also appreciate that it’s 100% cotton, which, in my opinion, made it possible for me to wear it anywhere, anytime.

However, I think the fact that one inquired if this dress was from Anthropologie was what made it my favorite part of. That, in my reserve, might be the best gift you can get.
