After her coming daughter altered her bridal gown, a bride-to-be’s hopes and dreams for her wedding morning were shattered.
The person is considering canceling her marriage after her angry potential stepdaughter destroyed her bridal gown.
Sharing the 32- year- ancient bride- to- been revealed that she and her fiancé, Alan, have been together for three times.
“He told me on our first time he was a deal package, his daughter, Rose, is his entire world”, the woman wrote. “I was completely cool with it and we started hanging out up.”
Alan earned 50/50 guardianship of Rose after his divorce from her mother, Carrie. Rose, who is now 12 years old, does not make the best idea of her despite the woman’s efforts to elude her in the form of a relationship.
“Rose and I have had. I understand it, having grown up in a split household where both families remarried”, the person wrote. She’s a teen and has some conflicted ideas about her father getting married to a new person instead of going again to her mother.
Rose will often throw remarks at the girl, like, “You’re certainly my family”, when she asks her to do something, even though her parents has attempted to set boundaries and ground rules. “We have tried treatment, groundings, and everything else, but little works”, she explained.
Rose can be difficult to deal with, according to the person, but nevertheless she is a good child who excels in college and plays activities. “She’s really popular, bubbly and friendly when she isn’t being mean to me”, she added.
The victim’s breaking place came when Rose was at her house, and destroyed her wedding gown.
Rose will drop out at her sister’s home and therefore come over for dinner with Alan and me because one of Rose’s friends lives near to my room, according to the person.
On one of these evenings, Alan was late from work, so the woman was left alone with Rose in her apartment.
“Rose arrived, and everything was normal. I stepped into the kitchen to finish preparing dinner, leaving Rose alone”, she wrote. “If I had any inkling of what was about to happen, I would’ve done something different.”
When the woman went to tell Rose that dinner was coming, it appeared to be normal, and she realized Rose had forgotten how to use the closet sliding door in her bedroom.
When she entered the room to look, she discovered her wedding dress and veil torn to pieces and covered in glitter paint.
The woman was devastated because of how significant her wedding dress was to her. She shared that “my late grandma (who I was very close to) made her own wedding dress after seeing pictures of Grace Kelly and that many members of our family have donned it to weddings or have had their own dresses created in its place. As I’m taller than my grandma, I had mine made. It’s really special to me.”
Alan arrived at the woman’s apartment to find her in tears. He recognized the remains in her wedding dress and was able to identify the culprit right away.
“Rose admitted it with a shrug of her shoulders and said, ‘What’s the point? She’s just a fat old cow anyway,'” the woman wrote. “Alan took her cell phone and immediately called Carrie to discuss a punishment.”
Despite Alan punishing his daughter, the woman admitted that this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. “I’ve experienced a lot of Rose. I’ve tried to be caring and compassionate… and this is my reward?” she lamented.

Now that her sadness has faded, it has been replaced with “boiling anger”, and the woman is.
“I’m tempted to just call off the wedding and leave Alan to deal with his brat of a daughter,” she said. “This wasn’t an accident. This was on purpose,” she wrote. “But then I remember that Rose is part of Alan’s life. I love Alan. But I’m not sure if I can keep taking it.”
Despite her feelings for him, the woman was frequently advised not to marry him because his daughter would always be a part of the equation.
“This is a part of the marriage. I wouldn’t get married if that isn’t right. When your relationship with him isn’t right, it would be as absurd as marrying him,” according to one Redditor.
Another user warned that “it never gets better as someone who has watched my sister deal with stepchildren this for over 20 years.” They will continue to try to hurt you and permanently break up your relationship. You have the option of either accepting this and living with the abuse or leaving your father in your absence.
“Is this the future you want”? a third commenter questioned. “Think about it thoroughly. It’s going to be a challenging road ahead, and I believe you should give yourself and your mental health more priority.”
Even though Alan and Rose are a package deal, the woman is not required to accept either of them and endure emotional abuse as a result. Despite her love for Alan, she does not deserve to be treated with such cruelty for being merely with him and making him happy.
She may not be Rose’s biological mother, but she did appear to be trying her hardest to develop a loving and protective bond with her as her stepmother.
No matter how they treat their stepparents, some stepchildren may never accept them because their biological parents aren’t together, whether it be jealousy, anger, or sadness. Over time, this can put a strain on the marriage, lead to more arguments and resentfulness, and inflict damage that cannot be repaired.
If Rose is going to treat the woman in such total contempt, it would be wise to call off the wedding before she becomes a stepmother, and Rose’s treatment of her develops to be much worse. However, if she insists on staying with Alan, it is certainly worthwhile to talk to him so that they can work out a strategy for how to handle Rose’s outbursts going forward.
