An American artist’s wedding clothing has become popular on social media.

Emily Plank, a Florida native, is well known for her complicated designs, but more people found her on the internet after sharing what she did for Catrina Mairose, the bride’s groom, last year.

The designer uploaded Mairose’s opening of the dress to a stunned audience on June 21 and it has since been viewed more than 1.6 million days.

“There’s a special bond that you create with clients because this is a very’ you just have to trust me’ type of process,” Plank, known online as @watchemilypaint, told Newsweek.

“Catrina, who got married in June 2023, had shipped part of her dress across the country to me, without even meeting me.”

By the time Plank was finished, the gown featured an elaborate floral mauve- colored style. The train, where much of the extra detail had been concentrated, was visible to viewers with a focus on it. The film captures the room’s response, with friends exclaiming “oh my God” and “who did that” in joy as Mairose made her entry,.

An overlaid text on the video read: “When you don’t tell anyone you had your dress hand- painted. Audio on.”

“I have loved making craft from the start,” Plank said. I studied drawing and painting at the University of Florida, but I’ve been pursuing picture full-time for the past eight years because I fell in love with it while I was in college.

Plank’s journey into bridal gowns began in 2019 when Olivia Jacoby of the Southern Swan, a neighborhood bridal shop owner, made a recommendation for her to paint on bridal gowns.

A wife named Molly Harvey requested a colored dress, and a small picture of her gown went viral, setting the stage for Plank’s burgeoning new endeavor. Since therefore, Plank has produced hand-painted practice clothes for brides all over the nation.

Despite her victory, the popular rank of Mairose’s clothing has been both amazing and challenging for Plank.

“The complaints about getting it done are 10 times the amount I got next day, which has been overwhelming,” she said. I have a few chuckles because I have an online presence like this, which makes me a small quiet.

Although she is never a fan of the light, the picture has amassed over 1, 500 comments, many of which help the finished appearance.

“Bet the musician was sweating. It looks amazing”, one customer, @jessicabaileymarston, wrote.

Another, @ginger7702, added: “I’ve never seen this done before and it is definitely stunning”.

“I do not like flowers on a wedding dress or think a colored gown could work, BUT THIS IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS”, a second person, @thrackley, shared.
