A person created a wedding gown that is a luxury brand, and she has gone viral.
But, while she describes it as her wish outfit, there is one issue: she’s never getting married. Agnes, a Thrift shopper, often shares her finds website via her account @godtier. christine, and, on June 11, uploaded.
During a trip to Goodwill, beside an ancient electronic keyboard, Agnes found a Vera Wang. Products from the luxury brand can cost thousands of dollars, it being a favourite of some of the world’s best artists, including the Kardashians, Victoria Beckham and Ariana Grande.
Agnes, from Florida, told Newsweek that “it was a strange moment for me, both finding the clothing and being able to discuss it with an market”.
She wrote on the movie, which has racked up over 12, 000 wants, “I think I found my wish Vera Wang wedding gown at the thrift business”.
Zooming in on the detail, including ribbons on the back and the coveted Vera Wang label, she also revealed the price tag of $749.99, which had some users balking.
One TikTok user wrote, “Makes me mad that they got that for free and they’re selling it for $750,” while another wrote, “It should be priced like all the other dresses.”
“It’s beautiful, and I know is Vera Wang, but $750 is too much”, a third added.
Although the precise produce of the dress is unknown, Vera Wang clothes can be purchased for as little as hundreds to thousands of dollars, or even tens of thousands. Victoria Beckham was reportedly photographed wearing a Vera Wang gown at her wedding to soccer star David Beckham, and it was reported at the time that it was worth $100, 000.
Agnes told Newsweek that, “as a style partner, this was a great find to me. Every child may enjoy dressing up in a Vera Wang outfit.”
However, she added that, “because I’m not getting married, I didn’t get it right away, but I did get a video of the dress for memory.”
Agnes also went back to the store to try on the clothing in a later film, where she also revealed the cost had been reduced to $199.99.
She said she didn’t expect to go viral, and added that the video “got both good and bad reaction”, thanks to the price of the dress.
Nevertheless, there were plenty of positive feedback, too, with one person writing: “It’s giving wife war, I love it.”
Another called it “but gorgeous”, and one wrote: “No manner, what a get, thanks”.
