Man Behind Viral Dress ''That Broke The Internet'' Jailed For Strangling His Wife

The person responsible for the “dress that broke the world” craze, who allegedly violently assaulted and strangled his wife, has been given a four and a half year prison sentence, it was reported. Before launching a weapon in March 2022, Kevin Johnston, 39, choked and pinned his wife to the surface.

My husband is trying to kill me, Ms. Grace yelled down the phone before dialing 911 while sorely begging pals for assistance. ‘Mr Joshnston was next heard making a disturbing speech, saying,” Someone is going to die”, as per.

Seven times prior, the couple’s wedding gown gained them acclaim for its stunning gown. They became well-known in 2015 when his mother-in-law’s bridal gown attracted a lot of online conversation about its color. Some people saw the color black and blue, while another perceived it as white and gold. Nevertheless, the gown was black and blue, appearing often due to the quality of the picture.

The pair went on to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where they were handed $10, 000 and a trip to Grenada.

But, it was a unique story behind closed doors. Prior to this, the High Court in Glasgow had learned that Johnston had a history of abusing his family. At a prior hearing, attorney Chris Macintosh told the jury that she felt trapped because there is no lasting police presence on the island.

Weeks before the assault, Ms Grace defied her father’s requirements by going to a job interview. The assault happened after Johnston came home from a cafe, where he had been drinking. He admitted assaulting his wife last month because of her injuries and risk of life.

Lady Drummond claimed Johnston strangled his wife for about 20 hours in a court filing in Glasgow. The prosecutor said: “First she was able to cry. She feared for her life and thought you had a plan to murder her. You were quite aggressive. The killing lasted about 20 hours. She didn’t lose consciousness, but she did feel very close.”

Jailing him for four- and- a- third years, Judge Lady Drummond more added, ‘In her victim impact speech, she went over the emotional and psychological on her from your attitude. She suffers in various aspects of her life– physically, psychologically and economically. Your actions will have an unending effects. She is unable to comprehend your lack of remorse or compassion for her. I have considered the surrender that the court can handle this with community disposal after taking into account all the information. Prison, I’m afraid, is the only suitable punishment for a murder like this.’

He has also been prohibited from contacting or approaching his family for ten years.
