A TikToker has become well-known after unintentionally attending a wedding and bringing the same outfit to the bridesmaids. On the bright side, at least she wasn’t wearing white, right?

are undoubtedly one of to plan for. You’ve gotta find out the surprise, vehicles and most importantly, the clothing.

Thankfully, the majority of the weddings I’ve attended have given guests a theme for their attire, such as a color palette or a Pinterest feeling panel, which seems to be the norm these days. This makes things a lot easier.

However, this marriage guest appears to have overdressed for the ceremony, so she ended up wearing the same dress as the bridal celebration.

Taylor Fogarty shared the mortifying incident on her TikTok account, describing the wardrobe mixup as her “Roman Empire” — for folks who don’t know what that means, it’s like the Gen Z version of “lives in my mind rent- free”.

In the movie, which has since received more than 3.5 million views, she wrote, “My Roman Empire is the time I showed up to a bride dressed as the girls.”

“I’d had made you an additional bride within 20 seconds lol”, one person said.

“Yup I did that too. A ranger green velvet dress… I was so ashamed. Some of the people kept asking why I wasn’t sitting with the wedding party”, another TikToker commented.

A second person wrote, “I will certainly be bringing an extra costume if I go to a marriage as a guest.”

Some people claimed that they would often make an effort to learn what the bridal party is wearing in order to prevent this wack.

The TikToker, who spoke to Kennedy News, described the agonizing time and said she apologised to the wedding for her choice of clothing.

“I soon started to turn bright red and my chest was in knots. I only got so uneasy I wanted to leave, I completely wasn’t love myself”, Fogarty told

“I didn’t talk to the bridesmaids, I approached the bride at the reception and apologized. I felt like I had to say something because I was therefore uncomfortable.”

She even added that the bride didn’t seemed to thinking too much about her dress, however, she got the feeling that some people “felt some type of approach” about her dress.

“When I was getting food from the banquet, an older person said something about it. I just walked aside dying inside”, she told the release.

In a response to a question that claimed the TikToker had purchased the gown from a well-known marital shop, Fogarty showed the entire gown and explained how at the time she only believed it to be pretty AF’fit.

“I mean it does basically look like a bridesmaid’s gown but I know. I wasn’t thinking, I wasn’t using my brain”, she replied.

“But lessons learned. For upcoming celebrations that I attend, I will undoubtedly be finding out the bride dress color.”

To be honest, I completely forgot that this clothing incident is terrible possible! As I’m writing this story, I’m quite sure I only messaged three companions about their bridesmaid gowns.

And while we’re on that subject of clothes, it’s so hard to tell what a bridesmaid gown is because everyone’s marriage is unique. But when Fogarty claimed she purchased the costume because it was attractive, I completely understand where she was coming from.

Finally, the bride and her does look again at the awkies scenario and laugh.

If you think about it, it’s kind of a gift to the wedding, because you know she’s got excellent fashion feel if you’ve picked the same outfit as her girls.

It’s really a melancholy tale.
